Question
Pricing Spreadsheet
Please provide some detail about the following information requested in the pricing spreadsheet:
Description
Manufacturer Name
Manufacturer Number
UOM
No Commit Price
Answer
Product Description - sometimes the name of an items does not relay what the item is or does. This field allows for vendor to ellaborate on a product beyond its manufacturer name. Manufacturer Name/Manufacturer numbers are what one would see in a catalog or on a website to identify a product. UOM is Unit of Measure. No commit price is a base price without any volume discounts.

Question
Section 55 & 56 Standard Process Times & Standard TissueTyping
These two sections have different turnaround times. Can you clarify what turnaround time the University of Iowa is requesting for HLA testing? Is there a requested turnaround time for Infectious Disease Marker Testing? The vendor’s current turnaround time for Infectious Disease Testing is 24-48 hours. We suggest this turnaround time for that type of testing.
Answer
The expected turn around time for HLA testing is 5 days. For Infectious Disease Marker testing the expectation is 48 hours.

Question
Timeline of RFP
The RFP indicates that the RFP was issued on March 21, 2023, but the solicitation wasn’t available on the website until March 31, 2023. As such will the University consider extending the due date?
Answer
We confirmed with IonWave, the provider for this site, that the bid was published on March 21, 2023. However, we recognize there is a lot of information that needed clarification and have extended the deadline of this bid to April 21 at 3:00 pm CST.
