4. What is the reason for focusing on the Library’s leadership team?
Answer



The objective is to build capacity as individuals and as leaders within the organization. We currently have an interim Associate University Librarian, due to a retirement and several new members to the team. The Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion joined the organization in January 2023; the Director of Strategic Communications joined the organization in January 2022 (both new roles to the org) and the Directos of Finance, Facilities, and Collection Fulfillment and Human Resources were named to their positions within the last three years.

We are intending for the six direct reports to the Dean/UL and two department directors who serve on the Leadership Team. We will also offer it to the two staff advisory committee (staff governance group) members, but it will be optional for them.
