Overview: The Iowa DOT is looking for qualified vendors to provide lawn mowing/maintenance services for Right of Way (ROW) Properties in the specific district listed within this solicitation between April 25 to October 30. Lawn Mowing services will be needed for the lawns listed at each property per the attached specifications (Approximately 2.66 acres total).

Property addresses are included in the Line items tab.

Award will be based on the amount of bid price shown on the Line Items tab within the solicitation. Bid price will include all requirements listed in the Description of the proposal to complete this proposed project. All items (parcels) within a group are tied and must be bid to be considered for a group award.

Contract Period

The successful bidder will be awarded a one (1) year contract with an option to renew for five (5) additional years in twelve (12) month increments. Renewals are not a guarantee and must be a mutually agreed upon between the contractor and the Iowa DOT We are requesting the contract begin after award, approximately May 17, 2023.

Adding or Removing Properties

The Iowa DOT reserves the right to add or delete properties as listed on the line items at any time. The DOT will notify the successful bidder of property changes as soon as the information is available.

Site Visit
It is recommended that prospective bidders visit the sites prior to submitting a quotation for this work. No considerations or revision in the contract price or scope of the project will be considered by the Owner for any item which could have been revealed by a thorough on-site inspection and examination.
