Question Our white gloves delivery service typically delivers the items from the warehouse to the final destination. Can we skip Central Receiving as an intermediary and delivery directly to the room?
Answer Yes, delivery directly to VDL and individual rooms will be an available option.

What is the new site contact for delivery (Name & phone#)?

What is the new site contact for delivery (Name & phone#)? The contact person's information will be given at time of award and Purchase Order issued.


What are the dock hours? Dock hours will normally be 8am-3:30pm.


Is a freight elevator required and available-reservation required? Elevator is available and no reservation would be needed. Only a heads up that delivery personnel is in route.


Will the equipment fit through all doorways & elevators? Yes


Is stairwell delivery possible or required? May not be required but would be available.


Can a tractor trailer (53’ trailer) deliver or is a smaller truck required? Yes, 53' trailer delivery can be accommodated at both delivery locations to include the new VDL.


Is there a dock at the new VDL? Yes

Question "Hello, yes delivery only is an option. All units will be delivered to a Central Receiving facility fully equipped with a loading dock and also forklifts on-site. Liftgate will not be needed for delivery."

My understanding is these will be delivered to a central recieving facility and will then need to be transported to the new building (delivery only to central receiving is an option). What is the address of the Central Receiving facility as well as the new building?

Question Do you have any more specifics on the items. The sizes are specific, manufacturer used for the spec would aid in quoting accurately.
Answer I do apologize, we generally do not prefer to provide manufacturer specifications to avoid singling out one product or brand over another. The sizes are more specific to the locations they will be placed in a newly constructed building. The sizes listed would be the maximum allowable sizes for the spaces they will be installed.

Question Line 9, Refrigerator #2 says refrigerator but show a temperature range of -15 to -25 F. Do you want a refrigerator or a Freezer?
Lines 12, 15, 18, 21,24, 27 are listed in Celsius. Can you confirm the range you want on those?
Line 6 is in C, 9 and 30 are in F.
Please confirm exactly what you want quoted.

Apologies for any confusion. Line 9 would technically be a laboratory freezer, it was just labeled wrong.


As for the temperature ranges, we simply put the ranges that are required by the department as provided to Procurement. Using a conversion calculator such as the one on Google should assist in finding the correct ranges in either Celsius or Fahrenheit.

Example:

Line 12, Temperature Range: 3 - 5 Degrees C would be equivalent to 37.4 - 41 Degrees F

I was hoping to verify that this would be for delivery only and there isn't any install or maintenance/service required.

Will units be delivered to a loading dock?

Will liftgate be needed for delivery?
Answer Hello, yes delivery only is an option. All units will be delivered to a Central Receiving facility fully equipped with a loading dock and also forklifts on-site. Liftgate will not be needed for delivery.
