Question
We need clarification on what data you need collected? Do you need As Found and As Returned data or just As Found?
Answer Minimum data collected is as found. If any adjustments, repairs, cleaning, etc. to equipment occurs, we will need as returned data too.

Question Will we need to ask for approval to proceed with repairs or will we automatically proceed with repairing broken pipettes?
Answer Approval to proceed with repairs.

Answer Data collected on all channels.

Answer Please disregard the mention of "multi-channel" on line #2.

Question Are you wanting pricing for both 3x10 and 2x7 data collection, or just 3x10?
Answer We would prefer both. We want to understand the difference in pricing based on level of service. Some areas may prefer the higher level of service if they can.

Question Bottle Top dispensers do not have much info in the line items. Are you wanting As Found (10%, 100%; 7 data points) and As Left (10%, 50%, 100% ; 10 data points) for bottle tops?
Answer We’re interested in the difference in pricing between 2x7 and 3x10 plans.

Question I see you have cleaning and lubrication separate from the As Left data. I assume you want that service done prior to giving the As Left data? So am I to understand that cleaning and lubrication will happen with every pipette once a year?
Answer If a pipette is found failing calibration, we’d expect notification from the service provider. If the lab authorizes the vendor to do so, the vendor would disassemble, clean, lubricate, provide other service as needed, then perform an as left calibration to see if repairs corrected the issue.

Question For your pipettes, I am understanding you require 7 data points at 10% and 100% As Found data, and 10 data points at 10%, 50%, and 100% As Left data. This is a very high number of readings, especially when you get to the 8 channels and 12 channels. Each 12 channel would have 168 data points As Found, and 360 data points As Left. A single would be 14AF/30AL. This is a very, very high number of data points. Are you set with this level of service? Does every department require this as well? At this level, ~200 units (singles, repeaters, BTs, 8ch, and 12ch) every quarter, all with AF/AL data and certificates, would probably take too long for it to be feasible for us. I would recommend 1-2 data points for multis at 10% and 100% As Found, and 2 data points 10% and 100% As Left.

Please let me know if some departments don't require this high of a level of service. Perhaps some don't require As Found data?
Answer 1. Service for each item is only provided annually. However, we expect the vendor to be onsite at least quarterly to address situations such as items in need of repair, or units accidentally missed by the service provider when they were previously onsite. 2. All channels of multichannel pipettes must be checked. 3. If a pipette passes as found, there’s no need to collect as returned data too. If a pipette fails as found and is serviced, we’d expect as returned data to demonstrate functionality of the repaired unit. 4. Minimum ask is 7 data points at 10% and 100% on every channel. Maximum ask is 10 data point at 10%, 50%, and 100%. We are interested in understanding pricing difference between these levels of service. There may be a few instances where the higher service level is preferred.
