Question Are we quoting to match existing signs. if there are existing signs, are they being built the same. If there are any existing signs, would you be able to proved the location of one such sign for us to survey and inspect to confirm they we are quoting to build the same sign.
Answer Yes, these are to match existing signs on campus. The parking lot signs ca be seen at any parking lot on campus. There are 2 examples of the directory sings along South Riverside Drive.

Question Is this quote an all inclusive quote meaning you are looking for one company to supply all signage and concrete footings?
Or are you looking to have multiple companies submit bids for the different elements?
Answer The intent is to award to one company. This is so that company can coordinate any potential subcontractors, and take ownership of the production/installation quality and the timeline.

Question Please confirm it is mandatory to have business license and AM best rating of A-VII of state of Iowa
Answer These requirements are for the company(ies) providing the insurance coverages for the contractor.

Question What is the project timeline?
Answer If you look at the attribute on the first line item, the following verbiage is there: ISU would prefer the work to be complete by October 13th, 2023. Can your company meet this date? If not, what is your estimated completion date?

Question Will the type V signs just bolt into existing concrete or do we need to provide a base for them?
Answer The type V signs are installed by the owner and do not include any concrete base.

Question Can you clarify the dock sign dimensions? There are several different sizes, I am not sure what 20"-8'-7"w x 15"h means
Answer
The 20"-8'-7"w x 15 notation on the drawing is the range of sign widths for the dock area. The sign width depends upon the number of characters. Below are the dimensions for each sign:

Question The Va, Vb, and Vc signs are all different with panel sizes and the Vc sign has a larger frame. Meaning they all have a different cost. They each should have a line item for pricing each sign type as opposed to all the V signs lumped together in one group.
Answer We have changed the pricing request for each sign type from each to lump sum.
