Bid Questions
Question Can you please re-verify that you really have clean steam. Meaning that you have de-ionized RO clean steam?
Most Universities have house steam, but not clean steam.

I ask becasue it adds ALOT of money. because i will need to add SS piping and also add a SS steam to steam boiler

  1. If we provide a power vertical sliding door unit, will we still be considered (spec says hinged Door(s))?

Answer Hinged door is preferred, but a sliding door unit would be considered.

Question 4) Are there any building restrictions that would limit the transport of the unit or would require knockdown delivery? Being a hinged door, the width is over 38” before being crated for shipping.

Question 3) Is this recessed into a wall or does it need paneling to be cabinet enclosed?
Answer Will be taking the place of existing unit. No cabinetry required. See attached picture.

Question Is this specification absolutely required? "Compliance with ISO 9001:2008, ISO 13485:2003, CMDCAS and GMP Standards." This requirement is typically not needed in laboratory applications, as GMP or cGMP is shorthand for a piece of equipment that adheres to all United States FDA requirements for pharmaceutical drug production.

CMDCAS/GMP Standards are not required. Please ensure your offering conforms to the following standards:


• ASME Code, Section VIII, Division 1 for unfired pressure vessels. The pressure vessel is so stamped; ASME Form U-1 is furnished. Shell and door are constructed to withstand working pressure of 45 psig (310.2kPa)

• ASME Code, Section I, Part PMB for power boilers, if optional steam generator is supplied.

• UL/ICE/CSA61010-1 SAFETY REQUIREMENTS FOR ELECTRICALEQUIPMENT FOR MEASUREMENT, CONTROL, AND LABORATORY USE

• UL/ICE/CSA61010-2-040 SAFETY REQUIREMENTS FOR ELECTRICALEQUIPMENT FOR MEASUREMENT, CONTROL AND LABORATORY USEPART 2-040: PARTICULAR REQUIREMENTS FOR STERILIZERS ANDWASHER-DISINFECTORS USED TO TREAT MEDICAL MATERIALS

• UL 508A Standard for Industrial Control Panels
