Question Item #60 – There is a note on detail sheet U.05 that states the fence is to be 6’ high. Is this correct or are we to replace the existing fence with a similar height fence?
Answer The design intent is for all chain link fencing impacted by construction to be replaced to pre-construction condition. Fence heights may not be uniform throughout the entire project to accommodate this intent. Please refer to the D-sheets for specific fence removal, salvage, and replacement requirements.

Question For the alternate items: Why are there more (larger) manholes added than the ones being eliminated? Can a list be provided for which ones are being changed and to what sizes?
Answer Manholes included in Bid Alternate #1 account for larger diameters necessary to accommodate HDPE-lined RCP sanitary sewer. Contractor shall coordinate locations and sizing with HDPE-lined RCP sanitary sewer supplier(s).

Question For the 54” stub that was left out of structure WT-38, what material is the stub? Does the stub have a provided bell or will a coupling be needed? Is the 54” pipe cast into the wall or is there an alok or boot where it enters through the wall of the structure?
Answer The pipe stub is believed to be RCP with a removable, precast concrete plug based on a review of available as-built drawings. The pipe stub is believed to have a flexible connector at existing Structure WT-38. Contractor shall be responsible for field verifying existing conditions and providing appropriate materials to connect sanitary sewer piping as shown in the project drawings.
