The City of Davenport is seeking proposals from qualified firms for an adaptive and inclusive playground at Emeis Park.

Bid Questions
Question Is there is a 3D format for the playground site that our CAD designer can use for the renderings?
Answer The ARP10-P-Grading-Phase II has a terrain model tin of the proposed contours within the file that can be exported into a 3D software package. A copy of the .xml and a CAD file with an exported TIN can be found in the Attachments Tab titled "Addendum 2 | Proposed terrain model and topo CAD".

Question Is the City looking for (1) 2-12 main play structure?
Answer The preference is to have one contiguous accessible feature. However, the city desires a "fun, engaging" play space. If two separate structures provide better play opportunities meeting this criteria, it will be considered. The primary goal will be to have a wheelchair accessible connection from the desired entry point.

Question It calls out in the plans an embankment slide in both the 5-12 and 2-5 areas. Do you have a preference for where you are wanting this to be located?
Answer The preference is to locate the slides off the mound feature radiating outward from the circle where the walkway ends.

Question It would appear that we are only responsible for providing the play equipment design furnished to the city's shop, is that correct? It doesn't look like we are responsible for the poured in place rubber system described in the drawings at this time, but I just wanted to confirm.
Answer Correct. Pour in place system will be included as project construction bid at at later date.

Question Is a 3.5" post an appropriate alternative to the 5" specification?
Answer Yes, this is approved.

A pre-proposal meeting will be held on Monday, October 16th at 1:00 PM at Emeis Park, located at 4500 W. Locust Street, Davenport, Iowa. This will serve as a time to visit the site, discuss city expectations, and address any questions or concerns. All vendors intending to submit a proposal are encouraged to have a representative in attendance.
