Bid Questions
Question Is there an access door large enough to remove the USP peroxide tank and deliver a similarly sized tank to replace it?
Answer There is a large overhead garage door in the basement of that building that is big enough for the tank that is currently in place. It was lifted to the main level with our overhead crane.
Submitted 9/11/2023 08:38:27 AM (CT)
Question What is Davenport doing currently, if anything, for odor control? Will Davenport consider the use of a beneficial iron salt? If so, what % solids are being sent to the belt presses (1-3%)? Do you know the level of dissolved sulfides (mg/L) and the level of dissolved Phosphorus (mg/L) in the filtrate water?
Answer Davenport is currently injecting 50% hydrogen peroxide to the belt press feed line at the rate of 4gph. We would consider other chemicals as long as they control the sulfide gas at the press room. Feed solids to the presses usually range from 1.5 to 2.5%. We do not have reliable data on the sulfide level in the feed sludge or the phosphorus level in the filtrate.
