Notes
This project was previously bid in November 2022 but pricing was inconsistent and outside of budget. Therefore, changes to the original plan set have been made as follows: deleting a new storm sewer manhole, deleting flowable fill from the project, breaking out line items related to vault repair, deleting bike rack and planter items, and general clarifications and simplifications related to feedback received and the new 2023 Davenport Supplemental Specifications to SUDAS. The configurations of lights was also adjusted, and tree pits were removed from areas over basement vaults.

The project is streetscaping of the northwest corner of 3 rd and Brady Streets, including new curb, ADA-compliant PCC & brick sidewalk, and new ornamental lights. A portion of the project has a basement beneath the existing sidewalk, and the ceiling is in poor condition and requires replacement as part of this project. Therefore, the project also includes items related to removal and construction of a structural slab ceiling. The project is located on the north side of E. 3 rd St. from 116 W. 3 rd St. east to Brady St. AND the west side of Brady St. from E. 3 rd St. north to the alley. Work shall start at the Contractor’s convenience after the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and be completed by July 14, 2023. This has been changed to a Completion Date contract.



A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at 10:30am February 22, 2023 at the project location -- Northwest Corner of 3rd and Brady Streets. This will be the time to discuss the plans and specifications, any concerns, and the city expectations. All contractors intending to bid on this project are encouraged to have representative in attendance.

For 3 rd and Brady Streetscaping (Re-issue), the plans show for clay brick pavers – is that correct for this portion?
