Overview:
The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking bids for; Insulation repair as per
RFB FY2024 #205 Scope and Specifications document
(Attachment tab) at the Atlantic, IA Maintenance Garage located at 502 Ash Street, Atlantic, IA 50022.
Scope
(Line items are tied and one award will be issued)

Remove all foam and debris from gap at top of the wall as noted in scope & specifications document (Attachment tab). All foam and debris to be properly disposed of offsite. Install Class A rated foam at the gap between the top of the wall panel and the roof T's.

Prepare foam as needed for intumescent paint coating on both sides. Apply intumescent coating on both sides of wall.
Award:
It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: Meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule.

The date shall be coordinated with the IDOT Project Manager. (This is the estimated start date after all required documents are received (i.e., Insurance, performance bond and vendor signed contract).

Note: Contractors to propose a suggested revised completion date taking into consideration winter weather conditions. This is a required Attribute. See Attribute #12.
Site Visits:
A pre-bid site visit is highly recommended.
To schedule a site visit, contractors must contact the Purchasing Agent overseeing the bid at kyle.williams@iowadot.us with a date and time of when the awarded contractor wishes to conduct a site visit before the question cutoff date/time.
