Overview:
The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking bids for; Review of and diagnosis of the existing heating unit on the north end of the Grimes RCE building located at 2300 SE 17th Street, Grimes, IA 50111. Awarded contractor will need to fully identify the scope of work for the heating unit.
Scope:

Review existing heating unit at office for other problems. What is known is the capacitor and blower need to be replaced. Contractor will need to assess & identify any other issues with the heating unit
. Please see RFB FY2024 #211 Plan Documents located under the Attachment tab for additional resources. Work to be done during regular work hours and days M - F 7:00 - 3:30.
Award:
It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: Meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule.

Note: Contractors to propose a suggested revised completion date taking into consideration winter weather conditions. This is a required Attribute. See Attribute #12.
Site Visits:
A pre-bid site visit is highly recommended but not required.
To schedule a site visit, contractors must contact the Purchasing Agent overseeing the bid at kyle.williams@iowadot.us with a date and time of when the awarded contractor wishes to conduct a site visit before the question cutoff date/time.
