Contract Award:
It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible contractor whose submitted quote is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule

Other factors may also include a comprehensive review of bidders past work performance, and work capacity.
Overview:
The Iowa DOT is seeking competitive bids for an Iowa licensed plumbing contractor to p
rovide all materials, labor and equipment necessary for removing the existing AHU located in ground level of Grand Materials north west corner and replacing the equipment with new AHU as per the attached specifications and scope of work. All work to be done during regular working days and hours or coordinated with Owner.
Estimated Project Start Date:
May 15, 2024
(Start Date shall be coordinated with the IDOT Project Manager following vendor Award.)
Estimated Project Completion Date:
December 1, 2024 or as determined by the Construction Manager at the pre-construction meeting. (Contractor to indicate any material lead time issues that may prevent them from meeting this timeline and provide guidance for recommended completion date based on material lead time. See Attribute #16).
DOT is seeking an Iowa licensed plumber for completion of this project.
This is project is exempt from state sales tax.
Warranty:
Required 1 year construction warranty and 1 year minimum repair or replacement workmanship or materials warranty as indicated in specifications.
Training: Contractor must provide operational and/or maintenance training for the new equipment. (See Attribute #17)

with a date and time of when you want a site visit. Contractors will be required to bring their own equipment needed for the site visit.
