Overview: DOT is seeking a qualified contractor to provide all equipment, materials and labor needed to remove/replace existing sealant and backer [if any] above that flashing needs with a new backer and continuous bead of urethane sealant. There may also be some issues with the vertical pre-cast panel to panel sealant above the metal roof but cannot tell from that photo. This should also be investigated on-site by a contractor to determine if that sealant has also failed. Reference photos, specifications and scope of work in the attachment tab section of the proposal.
Project construction period: Project to begin July 1, 2023 and end on September 15, 2023.
This is project is exempt from state sales tax.
It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule.
