Overview: The Iowa DOT is seeking competitive bids to furnish all materials, labor and equipment necessary for remove and replace windows, repair wall framing at 2 locations in RCE building, remove and salvage existing brick on west wall to reinstall. The work to be done during regular working hours and days M - F 7:00 to 5:00 coordinating with the employees on site on day-to-day operations. Ensure site is secure daily during construction.
Per the plans and specifications included in this solicitation. Off-site disposal of all demolition debris is required.
Awarded contractor will be required to field verify all window sizes and submit shop drawings prior to ordering materials.
The project period to begin upon award; and to be completed on or before September 30, 2023.
Award : It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule.
All questions related to this project are to be submitted through the IONwave Bid system through the cut off period for question submissions.
There is no pre-bid meeting scheduled at this time. Interested bidders can schedule a site visit with the Purchasing Agent listed on the solicitation via email @ julie.brown@iowadot.us .
The Iowa DOT is exempt from sales tax. Sales tax is not to be included in your bid amount.
