Overview:
The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking bids for; One 14'x14' overhead door (rough measurement) as per specifications as outlined in
RFB FY2024 #192 Specifications & Photos
document (Attachments tab). The location for this project is the Dyersville, IA DOT Maintenance Garage located at 14117 Hwy 136 N, Dyersville, IA 52040.
*Acceptable brands are listed within the Specifications document and within the Line Items tab. Pre-Bid substitutions are allowed on this bid. Before providing bid, please complete the Pre-Bid Request for Approval of Products or Materials form located on the Attachments tab. Following business unit review, you will be notified if your substituted material was approved or denied for this project.
Scope:
Contractor to remove and replace Door #8 14'x14' overhead door as per specifications.
Award:
It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: Meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule.

The date shall be coordinated with the IDOT Project Manager. (This is the estimated start date after all required documents are received (i.e., Insurance, performance bond and vendor signed contract).

NOTE: Contractors to propose a suggested revised completion date taking into consideration winter weather conditions. This is a required Attribute. See Attribute #12.

ontractor is required to provide all materials, equipment and labor for the removal and replacement of material as per plans/specifications outlined on the Line Item tab. This includes the disposal of all debris off site.
Site Visits:
A pre-bid site visit is recommended, but not required.

site visit to verify final fit measurements is
required of the awarded contractor

To schedule a site visit, contractors must contact the Purchasing Agent overseeing the bid at kyle.williams@iowadot.us with a date and time of when the awarded contractor wishes to conduct a site visit before the question cutoff date/time or post-bid for the awarded contractor.
