Contract Award
One contract will be awarded for all items. All items are tied.
It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule.
Purchase Orders
Purchase orders will be issued for items as needed throughout the contract period. Initial quantities on this RFB will be placed under one purchase order.
Contract Period
The Contractor will be awarded a one (1) year contract with an option to renew for (five) additional years in twelve (12) month increments.
Estimated Quantities
It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to purchase 20 Tail Gate Lifts on the initial order. The exact amount of lift gates purchased per year is dependent on funding and Iowa DOT final approval. At this time, it should be understood there are no guaranteed minimum purchases and actual purchases may vary considerably based on actual needs throughout the contract period.
