Over view:
DOT is seeking a contractor to provide all materials, equipment and labor necessary for Exterior Maintenance Services Contract
Scope includes but is not limited to tuck pointing, replacement of masonry units, cap stone replacement, pressure washing or stain removal, caulking and expansion joint replacement, sealant and coatings, painting or coating steel lintels. Statewide service contract with scopes developed on work orders using unit pricing submitted. Work to be done during regular working hours M - F 7:00 - 3:30 and coordinated with local supervisor. This is a time and materials contract for various DOT Maintenance Facilities with tuckpointing / masonry need through out the year. All lines are tied.
Site visits will be required for each work order. This will apply to only the awarded contractor. DOT does reserve the right to award multiple vendors to this contract if feasible.

This will be a 1 year contract with the option to renew up to five (5) additional one (1) year periods upon mutual agreement between contractor and the Iowa DOT.
This is project is exempt from state sales tax.
Davis Bacon Wages do not apply.
It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award two contracts to the responsible bidder(s) whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule.
