Overview:
The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking bids for; Hoist Electric Replacement at the Iowa DOT's Ames Repair Shop located at 800 Lincoln Way, Ames, IA 50010.
Scope: Remove existing rail system, approx. 80 LF and 2) 21 foot wide bridges for two 3-ton hoists. Furnish and install parts needed to new festooning track for the total runway and each bridge. Use existing power for both bridges. Contractor to provide all equipment and lifts needed to complete work. DOT electricians to connect power ends. Work to be done M - F 7:00 - 4:30 and coordinated with DOT. Provide submittal for equipment to be installed.
Award:
It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: Meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule.

A site visit is required for this project.
