Overview:
The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking bids for; Atlantic Brine Building Roof Replacement at the Atlantic, IA Maintenance Garage Brine Building located at 502 Ash Street, Atlantic, IA 50022.
Scope:
Install new 29 gauge metal roof over existing shingled roof on brine building per manufacture's requirements for a lifetime warranty. Approximately 1,250 SF. Contractor to field verify area and existing conditions. Existing roof to be prepped, 2x4 furring strips provided and installed to existing roof, existing roof edge closer and flashing removed and replaced, and new vented soffit installed per manufacture requirements. Work to consist of all materials, equipment, and labor needed to complete installation. Steel metal to be white.
Award:
It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: Meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule.

to verify measurement and will be accommodated if needed prior to submitting a bid to ensure the vendor has access to view the job site.
To schedule a site visit, contractors must contact the Purchasing Agent overseeing the bid at kyle.williams@iowadot.us with a date and time of when you want to conduct a site visit.
Please schedule and conduct all site visits prior to bid closure date of 10/26/2023. Contractors will be required to bring their own equipment needed for the site visit.
