Overview:
The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking bids for; Tower deconstruction (Tower Demo Labor/Mobilization,
Crane, Lift Rental) at Ames Maintenance Garage located at 57073 U.S. HWY 30 East, Ames, IA 50010
Scope:
Labor and equipment necessary to deconstruct tower at Ames DOT Garage. Following deconstruction, the tower will be stored at the Ames DOT Garage.
Award:
It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include but are not limited to: Meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule.

The date shall be coordinated with the IDOT Project Manager. (This is the estimated start date after all required documents are received (i.e., Insurance, performance bond and vendor signed contract).

NOTE: Contractors to propose a suggested revised completion date taking into consideration winter weather conditions. This is a required Attribute. See Attribute #8.

ontractor is required to provide all materials, equipment and labor for the deconstruction of tower as per plans/specifications outlined on the Line Item tab. This includes the disposal of all debris off site.
Site Visits:
A site visit is highly recommended
to review scope of work.
To schedule a site visit, contractors must contact the Purchasing Agent overseeing the bid at Jerrod.Okland@iowadot.us with a date and time of when the awarded contractor wishes to conduct a site visit post-bid.
