Iowa State University of Science and Technology (ISU) is soliciting bids on behalf of the Food Science Department for a Dynamic Light Scattering Instrument.

This instrument will be used to develop encapsulated prebiotic coatings to fortify feed. The instrument will facilitate understanding of the conditions needed to successfully encapsulate the prebiotic, particle size, stability, and particle size distribution. The instrument will also be used to investigate polymer solubility as a function of molecular weight which requires elevated temperatures over 110 ° C.
