Description
The State of Iowa DAS Central Procurement is seeking for a Bidder to design and provide equipment for a recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) for larval muskellunge culture for the Department of Natural Resources Spirit Lake Fish Hatchery (SLFH) . The system should include: dechlorination of source water, drum screen, moving media biofiltration, carbon dioxide removal (as well as other gasses), 60 mg/cm2ultraviolet disinfection, oxygenation, and temperature manipulation.
The SLFH has extended their needs for the RAS system. They have extended the duration that they want to rear the fish in this unit, which ultimately increases the amount of water we need treated, which increases the size of equipment needed. SLFH has an installation deadline of March 15, 2023. Agency has a larger RAS system on site. Hatchery employees will be available throughout the December holidays for approval on the design deliverables.
The State intends to award one Bidder. The Award will be a purchase order.
