Description

The following specifications and dimensions apply to the purchase of one Scrap Grapple Bucket
by the Iowa Department of Transportation, Iowa DOT. Bucket will be used move objects/debris
of various size and length. Model bid must be under current standard production for which
repair parts and accessories are readily available from the successful bidder. Dealer or vendor
modifications to a standard model for the express purpose of meeting specification
requirements will not be acceptable.
BUCKET, SCRAP GRAPPLE
1. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
A. Open ends (Cut-out sides), closed bottom, and center brace to allow for various
length and size of material.
B. Open Front dual clamps operated by dual hydraulic cylinders.
C. Bolt-on, double-sided, reversible cutting edge.
D. Bucket must be compatible with a 2023 John Deere 524P with a standard Hi-Vis
coupler.
E. Approximately 96 inches wide, not to exceed 102”.
F. Approximate weight 2600lbs
Paint
Manufacturer’s standard paint is acceptable.
MANUALS
Three (3) manuals must be supplied. Manuals must include operators, service and repair
information as well as an illustrated parts list.
WARRANTY
Entire unit must be covered under warranty for one (1) year. Warranty must include all
parts and labor to correct any material, workmanship or manufacture defects. If
component manufacturer’s warranties are for a longer period, they must apply. Warranty
must begin when unit is delivered to the requesting location.
