Description

The pre-bid meeting for the WASS Buying Cooperative 2023-2024 RFP will take place on Wednesday, March 1 at 10:00am. The meeting will be held at the Saydel Community School District Office.

ATTENDANCE AT THE PRE-BID MEETING IS REQUIRED. PROPOSALS FROM ANYONE WHO DID NOT ATTEND THE PRE-BID MEETING, WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
Sealed bids for food, non food, fresh produce, and chemicals for the WASS (Waukee, Ankeny, Saydel and SE Polk) buying group will be received by the Director of Nutrition for the Saydel Community School District at the Saydel Administration Building, 5740 NE 14th Street, Des Moines, IA 50313 until 1:00 pm Central time on the 4th Day of April, 2023.

The award will be to the lowest responsible bidder meeting the specifications for the Request For Proposal. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids, and to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract as shall be deemed in the best interest of the WASS (Waukee, Ankeny, Saydel and SE Polk) buying group.

All bids shall be made in accordance with forms and specifications attached to and made part of the proposed contract documents.

Contract documents and specifications will be placed on file at the Nutrition Office and may be examined and obtained at the Saydel Administration Building, 5740 NE 14th Street, Des Moines, IA 50313

Each bid shall be on the forms provided with the Bidding Documents.

No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 30 calendar days after the date of opening.

Bidders shall give preference to use of Iowa domestic labor and products and provisions produced or grown within the State of Iowa.
Certified businesses owned, operated, and actively managed by women, minority persons, and individuals with disabilities or service-connected disabled veterans, as well as labor surplus area firms are encouraged to apply.
