You are invited to submit comments/feedback in response to this Sources Sought Request for Information (RFI) concerning an upcoming solicitation for a 10K diesel forklift to the Iowa National Guard, Camp Dodge Joint Maneuver Training Center, USPFO-P&C, Bldg. 3475, 7105 NW 70th Avenue, Johnston, IA 50131-1824.

We are not requesting quotes at this time, only developing a list of contractors who can provide the required 10K diesel forklift as the Governments market research.

All salient characteristics (specifications) for the proposed 10K diesel forklift shall meet or exceed the specifications outlined in the product descriptions below. Please provide comments/feedback, to include the following:

1. Can your business provide a quote for the 10K diesel forklift that meets all specifications?

2. Are the specifications either too vague or too restrictive?

3. Do the proposed specifications limit competition to a certain manufacturer?

4. Any additional information that would be helpful to prepare a quote?

5. Provide the following company information in our response:

The following terms are applicable to this RFI:

NAICS 333924, with a small business size standard of 750 employees is applicable to this requirement. This acquisition is currently unrestricted and open to all contractors with an active SAM registration.

• Shall have a rated load capacity between 9,999 lbs. and 10,001 lbs.


• Shall be able to operate at a grade no less than 20 degrees.

• Power Type: Diesel no less than 66 Horsepower.


• Torque: No less than 212 ft. lbs. at 1400 RPM.


• Operation Type: Sitting with full suspension seat and seat compartment shall include a strong overhead guard meeting compliance of ISO6055 and ANSI specifications.
