Description
INTRODUCTION:
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting bids and subsequently awarding a single Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the Design-Bid-Build Improve Site Waste Management construction project at the Iowa City VA Medical Center (VAMC) located at 601 Highway 6 West, Iowa City, IA 52246-2209
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing structures, and provide all labor, equipment, testing, materials, qualified supervision, and other items designated in this contract in accordance with the specifications and drawings to complete Project No. 636-805 Improve Site Waste Management construction at the Iowa City VA Medical Center in Iowa City, IA
The scope of this project includes, but is not limited to general construction and alterations, including concrete, masonry, rough carpentry, doors and hardware, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, low voltage, roofing repair/replacement, and interior finishes and removal of existing construction and certain other items as necessary for renovation.

ADMINISTRATIVE:
The solicitation will be issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside. Offers received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236220 with a size standard of $45 million. The solicitation will be issued in mid to late-August 2023. The period of performance is approximately 112 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. In accordance with VAAR 836.204, the magnitude of construction is between $1,000.000.00 and $2,000,000.00. This notice is not a request for competitive offers.
