Bid Questions
Question The RFB states that the aluminum pallets must be loaded onto a flatbed trailer for delivery. Is the facility receiving the shipments equipped to rear unload shipping containers, and will the state allow for this type of delivery?
Answer
Delivery: Delivery shall be on open flatbed trailer or van trailer for unloading by forklift truck at grade. There is a loading dock and we can unload from an enclosed trailer, but pallets are to be accessible from the rear. If a flatbed trailer we will need access to pallets from the sides.

Question Would the state allow six shipments of 35,000 lbs, totaling 210,000 lbs? We are only able to ship in increments of 35,000 lbs.
Answer The DOT is open to allowing a 35,000 lb. load instead of the 40,000 lb.
