Iowa State University of Science and Technology (ISU) is soliciting information from qualified Suppliers to provide up to three (3) Stereomicroscopes and one (1) Fluorescence Stereomicroscope.

The stereomicroscopes and fluorescence stereomicroscope will be used daily for screening, documentation, and thorough characterization of the spatial and temporal cell lineage labeling activity of new transgenic Zebrafish lines.



Suppliers should read all materials carefully and note the due date.


Suppliers must direct all questions and comments in reference to this RFP/RFQ to the University Representative using the QUESTIONS tab via this e-procurement system.

Question Does there need to be spot light illumination in addition to the transmitted light needs in the second stereomicroscope?
Answer Yes. Spot illumination should be included with the stereoscopes.

Question Can you please indicate, as we cannot see the difference, the reason for the Addendum 1?
Answer
Slight wording changes were made to Attributes 8 and 19 for clarification.

Also, one of the objectives was removed in Attribute 23.

Question Can you confirm that both microscopes require a scanning stage?
Answer

No, both microscopes don’t require a scanning stage.


A scanning stage should be included as an option for the higher level instrument.
