The proposed improvements consist of milling the existing concrete pavement, full depth patching of the underlying concrete as needed, widening to accommodate a new turn lane for the proposed aquatic facility at Middle Park, hot-mix asphalt resurfacing and pavement markings on 23 rd Street from Lincoln Road to Middle Road.

Question What is the weight capacity of the bridge? Will the mill be able to track over the bridge or will it need to be transported to the other half.

Question Item 26- Grout and Repair Barrier Rail This item is confusing. Does this reference the "barrier wall" alongside the street or is it referring to the railing located on top of the bridge? The special provisions refer to barrier wall.
Answer This refers to the jersey barriers along the east side of the bridge, where the steel reinforcement is exposed.

Question Special Conidiations SC-8 Bid Item # 4 indicates 12" granular subbase will be paid for under Bid Item #6 Engineering Fabric. Bid Item #5 Granular Subbase 6". should line item # read Granular Subbase 12"?

Bid Item #4 – Curb and Gutter shall be placed on 6” Granular Backfill, and paid for under Bid Item #5, Granular Subbase, 6”. The curb and gutter shall be 8” PCC.


An addendum will be sent out on Wednesday, February 22 to address this.
