This is a re-bid due to updates/clarifications in Scope of Work. The City of Bettendorf is seeking an attorney licensed in the State of Iowa to serve as the closing agent for the purchase of up to 18 homes in the Duck Creek Floodplain using funds received as a result of a FEMA grant, which is subject to the attached regulations (2 CFR 200 Appendix II). The City has been advised by the Iowa Department of Homeland Security, that Davis Bacon wage rates DO NOT apply to this program. The neighborhood and the entirety of the project area contains homes generally built in the 1960s. The area is not part of or near any historic district, and the homes have been declared by the State Historical Preservation Society to have no historical significance. These homes will be acquired on an individual basis, and the closings may take place over a period of several months.
