It is the intent of the attached RFPto describe the minimum requirements for one (1) Pumper Fire Engine on a current production model 35,000 GVW commercial truck or custom chassis to be paired with a fire pump and fire pumper body. The completed pumper fire engine cannot exceed 31 feet in total length. All parts not specifically mentioned but which are necessary to provide a complete unit shall be furnished by the successful vendor at the proposal price and shall conform in strength, quality of material and workmanship that is usually provided by the engineering practice indicated in this specification. In addition, any new technology or option that would be beneficial to this application shall also be included with explanation and additional cost. The attached proposal work sheet must be filled out in its entirety in addition any exceptions shall also be explained in detail. A pre-award meeting with any potential vendor will be held to resolve any specification questions.
