It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule.
Repair Shop Concrete Replacement:
Contractor to remove noted concrete and grassy areas for replacement, and concrete area on west side to be coordinated with separate contract for drain replacement. Concrete approach to overhead doors to be sloped away from building. Existing stoops to remain and portion of the existing sidewalk. Concrete replacement to meet specs provided. Work to be done during regular days and hours Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM (CST). DOT to employee 3rd party testing agency for concrete and fill testing to be coordinated by contractor when testing needed.
All concrete on West side of Repair Shop to be completed first with North side concrete to follow.
Warranty:
1 year warranty on labor
Estimated start and completion date:
Estimated start date: November 18, 2022 - or upon award once notice to proceed email has been issued.
Estimated completion date: West side concrete - December 1, 2022 & remaining North concrete - June 1, 2023

This is project is exempt from state sales tax.
