Overview: The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking qualified Bidders that demonstrate the capabilities, experience and resources to provide the specified sensors and processors for the Department’s roadside weather stations. The specified components will be purchased as needed to replace sensors as they fail on the Department’s 75 existing stations, and to equip any new stations that the Department choses to install. The Department’s Road Weather Information System (RWIS) stations provide valuable road and atmospheric information to winter maintenance staff, pavement engineers, and the public.
Line items are not tied.
Contract Award
The Contractor will be awarded a one (1) year contract with an option to renew for five (5) additional years in twelve (12) month increments.
Quantities listed are estimates only. Actual purchases may vary considerably based on actual needs throughout the contract period.

It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidders whose submitted quotations are the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule.
Deliveries shall be F.O.B Destination.
