Overview: DOT is seeking a quick quote for replacement of 1 overhead door, operator and remote controls at the Ames DOT warehouse "C Bay " Location. Bidders will be required to furnish all materials, labor and equipment necessary for the removal and disposal of an existing door and the warehouse and provide new OH door Operator and remotes as per attached specifications.
Off-site disposal of all demolition debris is required. Costs are to be included in line item detail for each line all lines are tied.
All measurements provided are an estimated measurement and successful contractor(s) must field verify all measurements for exact fit prior to ordering.
There is no pre-bid meeting scheduled at this time.

Award
It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT cost and other factors considered
.
Other factors include but are not limited to meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting desired time schedule.
Project period is to begin upon bid award. The door is currently unusable and work must be completed as soon as possible.
