The City of Iowa City's Equipment Division is requesting bids for purchase and installation of three (3) steel platform/flatbed bodies with hoists to be used by the Streets and Forestry Divisions per the terms and conditions and minimum specifications described herein. The City will provide the three cab and chassis trucks (2023 Ford F-350 Regular Cab 4x4 60" CA DRW) and the vendor will be responsible for supplying and mounting the steel platform/flatbed body with hoist packages. Estimated cab and chassis build timeframe is second quarter 2023.

No Contact Policy: After the date and time established for receipt of bids by the City, any contact initiated by the vendor or by a City representative, other than the Purchasing Division representative listed under bid contact, concerning this Request for Bid is prohibited. Any such unauthorized contact may cause the disqualification of the proposer from the procurement transaction.

Bid proposals must be submitted online via Ion Wave. Faxed, emailed and hard copies of bid proposals will not be accepted.

Questions: All questions and clarifications regarding this Request for Bid will be accepted until February 2, 2023, noon (CST) by submitting your questions through Ion Wave. All questions must be in writing in order to receive a response.

Vendors and/or their authorized agents may be present if a formal bid opening is held, at which time all bids shall be opened, and cost data read aloud. Due to public health concerns surrounding the pandemic, bid openings may not be open to the public. If this occurs, bids will be opened and read verbally over the phone until all bids have been opened.
